Someone decided to manufacture a knock-off of worm-on-a-string but without the strings: worm-off-the-string! It didn't quite catch on, so the surplus product was sold off to fill up gachapon machines. One day, one of these worm-off-the-strings was mysteriously granted sentience and magical powers, becoming Princess Ito!
