Long ago, a renowned samurai pledged to never kill again and stabbed his war whethered katana into the ground. The spirits that his blade had taken bled into the ground, and from them a cherry blossom tree grew. From that tree, a young oni was born, branches resembling her mother grew from the sides of her head. This oni built a shrine to protect her tree and to pass the time she began streaming to the outside world.
