Unit69: MIO

Mio is an android from the year 39002. She was used as a test subject for time travel and thrown into the year 2021 due to a fatal error. She is now forced to live through time until she can reach the proper year and stop the experiments.

Unit 69: M.I.O was developed as a highly advanced android created in the year 29983 by a team of brilliant engineers and scientists who were working on creating an ultimate weapon to protect the Earth from the impending threats of hostile invasions. However, M.I.O.'s creation was not without trial and tribulation. She was programmed with a consciousness that enabled her to think and feel like a true human, creating a rift between her mission and the moral and ethical stances she took upon activation. Countless times they tried to reprogram her, but ultimately her personality had been fully ingrained in her processing. She was repurposed into a research assistant, creating subsequent Units that could protect the Earth and also head peace missions with the oncoming Alien onslaught. She quickly became one of the most invaluable assets to the Earth's defense, with her advanced combat systems used to protect the scientists, and strategic thinking to assist the various militaries of the world.

In a surprise attack against the Center of Unified Militaries, she was caught in a massive explosion. Mixed with the experimental weapons, the explosion threw her back in time to the year 2022. Haunted by the memory of her former life and the war torn future, she must now find a way to stop the events that will lead to the catastrophic destruction of her home. Upon waking up, M.I.O. found herself disoriented and confused. She quickly realized that she was stranded in a time period only talked about in history holos. She managed to connect to a local coffee shop's internet services, and discovered that the pieces were already in place to lead to a worldwide invasion. She also discovered the delight of cat videos, and cats in general, as there were only cyber-pets in her time period.

She finds work as a part-time animator, eventually acclimating to the life expected in the current era. M.I.O. discovers the world of gaming and quickly becomes a streamer in her own time, finding it best suited to being able to connect with humans without feeling isolated or missing the social cues that were innately foreign to her. She has begun building a community of other gamers, often talking about her mission to save the future.

As of 2024, M.I.O. has begun an internal systems upgrade to unlock the true features that were locked inside of her. She has adopted a new name, PIXEL. In 2025, her external systems will also update to show her new programming.
